Bromeliad Imperialis

Bromeliad imperialis is truthfully a striking plant. Imperialis can reach a height of 48" tall in foliage. When fully mature and blooming, it can get to almost 100 inches. This large variety is very distinguishing in the landscape with its mint green upperleaf and eggplant colored underleaf. Bromeliads have a tremendous will to survive and can offer infinite variety, challenge, and exciting plant forms and color combinations. In nature many bromeliads grow on trees as epiphytes or air plants. Their roots are used mainly for support; they are not parasites. They are remarkably versatile and form one of the most adaptable plant families in the world.
