There are more than 17 different varieties of Duranta, however the Gold Mound variety is used frequently in Florida landscapes. Its yellow leaves make it a great contrast plant. Gold Mound is a slow growing shrub that is easy to maintain & stays small (approximately 4-5 ft tall & 3 ft wide). This variety of Duranta blooms rarely & will do well in light shade or full sun. It thrives in heat & humidity.
